I’m really lucky to have two stores in town that sell locally made items, and the vast majority of them are handmade. They sell a few things made by larger companies in NH, but it’s still supporting local business. All but two of my Christmas gifts this year were bought in one of those stores, and I’m really glad to be able to say that. I’m not going to go into the whole materialistic/stuff society philosophy, but just say that I haven’t shopped at Wal-Mart in…over a year.

I’m ready for fall. Knitting with wool is much more fun in the fall. Plus I get to wear things like this…

You may remember the little peak I gave you a while back, and asked if the colors were alright. I still have a few tweaks in the design to make, and have a lot to do for the store front. However, the blog is pretty much all set, and he’s made his first post already.

I read the little “Learn More” link at the bottom, but it didn’t clarify things very much for me. Those “About Us” or similar links never really tell you what a website is before it’s really launched.

Musopen is a community driven, online music repository started by a music and economics college student named Aaron Dunn.

This site takes music that is in the public domain, meaning a work that belongs to the community, and has it recorded by individuals and college/community orchestras throughout the United States and stored online so it can be accessed for free through this website.

It’s stuff like this that I think the internet is for! Stuff like Wikipedia, Gutenberg, LibriVox, and now Musopen are what make the internet totally worthwhile.
