Eat Real Food

Since we’ve been able to more easily go grocery shopping when we bought the car, Corey and me have made a conscious decision to pay attention to where the meat we buy has come from. I’m sure you’re familiar with some of the stories about industrialized meat production, as well as some of the crap they put in the animals (can you say rBGH?). Since we haven’t had a ton of money to spend each month, we’ve been really good about economizing our food buying. Since the local more natural meat we like to buy is more expensive, we end up buying less than we might otherwise prefer.

I just watched this video that has me pretty convinced that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to reduce our meat consumption even more. A year or more ago we had some form of meat at every meal. Lately it’s about every 1 out of 3 days (sometimes more).

I think a reduction in the consumption of specific types of meats could do a world of good. We focus in on really three or four main meats that is a danger.

FWI - Cabot came out with a Greek yogurt. Tried it this morning with some blueberries - yum!

I usually buy equally local Stonyfield Farm’s Oikos Organic Greek Yogurt but I think I like Cabot’s better.
