Restore
January 15, 2005 - 9:51 am EST
I realized last night that my computer automatically creates a restore point every day. When I fudged up my bookmarks and preferences for Firefox that day, I could have just gone back to the restore point that was made in the morning. I’m thinking it’s too late for that now, unless I haven’t saved anything since then that I care about.

January 15th, 2005 @ 9:06 pm ESTActually, there’s an extension for Firefox called Bookmark Backup that will save your bookmarks and a bunch of your preferences every time you close Firefox.
You will need to allow extensionroom.mozdev.org to install extensions though, as they are not on the default whitelist. They have a good number of extensons you can’t find at update.mozilla.org, though, so it’s good anyway.

Web Developer, StumbleUpon, Adblock, Tab Browser Preferences, and Mouse Gestures form my ‘core’ extensions – when I reinstall FF or Windows, those go in first. Adblock, if you don’t have it also, is a MUST have.
