Please, cheese, cracker, water, paci(fier): these are all the words Katie will say. She’ll also “maahh” when we’re talking about cats in her approximation of a meow. She knows what I mean when I say “chew” because she’ll bare her teeth and show me how she chews. She’ll also do this when I say “finish what you’ve got” if she’s getting too greedy. I’m sure I’m missing a few others, but those are the basics of Katie’s language acquisition right now. It’s really fun to watch the words that she picks up. Sometimes when I tell her the word for something she’ll repeat it, and other times she’ll just babble on about something infinitely more interesting to her.
Oh, and she’ll give you a “buh-bye” if she’s not being too shy.
